Tell us what you're hunting for. When a matching machine goes live, we email you the listing right away. Handy if you're watching for one specific machine.
Buying a used machine safely
- Inspect the machine in person, or pay a local inspector, before any money changes hands.
- Match the serial number (PIN) on the frame to the paperwork, and ask for the title or bill of sale up front.
- Run a UCC lien search in the seller's state so you don't inherit someone else's loan.
- Never wire a deposit for a machine you haven't seen. Prices far below market are the most common scam.
- Pay with a cashier's check or bank transfer at pickup, or use a licensed escrow service for remote deals.

Marketplace questions
Does it cost anything to list equipment?
No. Listing a machine on the HeavyDutyYard Marketplace is free. You set the price, and you deal with the buyer directly.
How do I contact a seller?
Use the message form on the listing. HeavyDutyYard checks every message for spam and scams, then emails it to the seller with your name, email and phone so they can reach you directly.
Does HeavyDutyYard inspect the machines?
No. We review each listing before it goes live and screen buyer messages, but we don't inspect machines or verify condition. Inspect any machine in person, or hire an inspector, before you pay.
Is HeavyDutyYard part of the sale?
No. Buyers and sellers agree on price, payment and pickup between themselves. HeavyDutyYard hosts the listing and passes messages along.
How long does a listing stay up?
90 days. When it expires we email the seller a one-click link to renew it or mark it sold, so buyers only see machines that are still available.
Would HeavyDutyYard buy my machine instead?
Maybe. If you'd rather sell outright, request a cash offer. We look at every request, and you can list on the marketplace at the same time.
