Privacy Policy

We collect only what you type into a form on this site. Each form collects:

• Cash offer / quote form: your name, email, phone (optional), the equipment location, the equipment types you picked, and any details, requirements or budget you add.
• Marketplace listing: the machine's details, price, city, state and ZIP, your photos, and your name, email and phone.
• Message to a seller: your name, email, phone (optional) and your message.
• Listing alert: your email and the machine type, state and maximum price you chose.
• Dealer website inquiry: your name, email, phone, dealership, current website and message.
• Featured listing payment: if you pay to feature a listing, you pay on a Stripe checkout page. Stripe collects your card details; we never see or store them. Stripe tells us the payment went through, the amount and your email.

We do not run third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising tools on this site. No user accounts are created. No passwords are stored. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

We use your information to do what you asked for:

• To reply about your equipment, usually within one business day
• To review marketplace listings and buyer messages before they go out, and to pass an approved message to the seller
• To arrange transport and payment if HeavyDutyYard buys your machine
• To mark a featured listing as paid

We send only emails tied to something you did on the site: a copy of your request, receipts and status updates for listings and messages, one reminder if you asked to list a machine and didn't finish, an offer to feature a live listing, and the listing alerts you signed up for. Every alert email has an unsubscribe link, or email us and we will remove you. We do not send newsletters, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

• Netlify hosts the site and stores form submissions, listings, photos, messages and alerts in its database (Netlify Blobs).
• Brevo sends our emails, including the notification of your submission to our team and the emails we send to you.
• Stripe processes featured-listing payments.

Each of these providers handles the data only to provide its service to us, under its own privacy policy.

On the HeavyDutyYard Marketplace, a listing's photos, description, price, and city and state are public. The seller's name, email, phone and ZIP code are not shown. When we approve a buyer's message, we send the buyer's name, email, phone and message to that seller so they can reply directly.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

• Quote requests, buyer messages and dealer website inquiries are kept in our database until you ask us to delete them.
• A listing leaves the public site when it is sold, taken down, or not renewed after 90 days. We keep the listing record and its photos until you ask us to delete them.
• A listing alert is kept until you unsubscribe; unsubscribing deletes it.
• Emails we send and receive stay in our inbox and in Brevo's sending logs.

To have your information deleted, email us at the address below and we will remove it from our database and inbox.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

• Right to Know — request a summary of what personal information we have collected about you
• Right to Delete — request that we delete your personal information
• Right to Opt Out of Sale — we do not sell personal information, so no opt-out is required
• Right to Non-Discrimination — exercising your privacy rights will not affect how we treat your inquiry
